Monday and feeling great!

Jamie Hamill's short story with our adopted daughter Lauryl acting! She is crossing her fingers this week so say a prayer for her!

Oh my gosh! This week has been filled with very little sleep. They were doing construction on the road by our house, and they did it at night! 1:30 AM I often heard the sound of jackhammers! Well, when you’re at my age, waking up at 1:30 at night means you’re up for hours! Then when the construction was done, we had a wind storm coming through St. Louis. I swore our roof was going to go flying off. So, I was up doing some, as my girls call it Facebook stalking, and trying to find old friends. It was successful! I was able to contact some friends that I had worked with when I first got out of college. They were so instrumental in getting my career started! So no sleep was a good thing!

This Saturday we were able to spend some time with Megan. She needed food and she wanted to go with me to the farmers market in Soulard Missouri. We had a blast! It was pouring rain and the Amish farm that I wanted to get the eggs from was not there. But we finally found a great backup farm who has some awesome eggs!

This week my basal cell carcinoma scar has healed quite a bit! I also was excited to see that the federal government is going to start regulating some of the ingredients that are put in sunblock. Who wants to put on sunscreen that has toxic chemical when they’ve just gotten over basal cell. Not me! I read my labels! I know y’all think I’m crazy, but I just want to make sure I know what I’m putting on my skin! The main reason that I joined Beautycounter was to get the discount for my girls, so that they will be using safer products. Plus, eating healthier made me want to be healthier. And, Jamie has psoriasis, so we need to be careful with her products. I can also educate people on the mission of getting better products in their hands. Fragrance is not good! You need to watch the movie Stink on Netflix. It was a huge eye-opener for me. I would read the labels before, but if I really liked the product, I would keep it until it was gone. Most of them appear to have good ingredients until I hit the word fragrance. Fragrance allows companies to put whatever they want in the product. A big lesson learned! And China, will put stuff in our products that are toxic, products they don’t even allow in their own products. But since we have so little regulation, they are allowed to put it in US products. I just want you all to at least read the ingredients in your products so you’re not putting toxic things on your skin.

Well this week, I don’t have to bowl! I’m kind of excited I get a week off. I still go up to watch Pat and our team bowl. It is a lot of fun. But I do have to say were one of the younger couples. I just hope when I am in my 70s and 80s I’m able to continue to hold the ball.

This weeks eating went OK, I am going to have to start walking a little more. Soon it will be will be time for me to get in shape to climb a mountain with my friends!

Last day to get the Cleansing Balm for free! This has been part of my magic healing of my carcinoma. I no longer use Vaseline. This week, on Instagram, I will try to educate you all on why I do not use Vaseline. Even when I had the surgery they recommended Vaseline and/or Aquaphor. You know I went for the Aquaphor!

So I will end this rambling with be kind to yourself, and by George we can do it! Thank you my friends!
